SELF FINANCING OF THE PREREFERENDUM
We are hereby appealing to all voters in the panafrican pre-referendum
on the United States of Africa to contribute towards the self financing
of this campaign This pre-referendum has been going on since March 2000,
but is not moving fast because of lack of funding. We believe that it
is the responsibility of voters and sympathizers who are committed to
the ideal of African unity to contribute the necessary finance toward
this noble objective. We have to sustain this pre-referendum by making
it a self financing venture. What would the finances be destined for?
- We need to employ two persons on a part time basis to animate the
pre-referendum online on a daily basis. These two persons will be based
in Yaounde. They will get the votes, assign numbers to voters, report
regularly on the voting, propose perspectives for the future on the
basis of the voting, post interesting voter comments online for discussion
by all other voters and animate online debates on matters arising from
the pre-referendum.
- Presently our web site is lodged at Wagne.net in Douala. In addition
to maintaining and renovating the site, we need to create a domain in
Yaounde so that our coordinators mentioned above be able to effect changes
or post things to the site without necessarily traveling to Douala.
- This web site also has to contain all relevant information on panafricanism.
The chain of getting this information and processing it to post at our
web site equally needs funds.
- We know our site is a French-English bilingual one; so we cannot underscore
the weight of translating materials from one language to another. Part
of the money will serve this purpose
