Our achievements :
CAHEA has been operating three projects in Cameroon since 1992 :

The self employment initiative in home economics
This project has as global objective, to facilitate the integration of young professionals and graduates of the home economics domain into self employment. To meet up with this goal, CAHEA
- identified and instituted in 1997 the need for further training in self employment for some 224 home economics graduates in 14 towns in Cameroon ;
- sent two of its board members for a capacity building program in self employment in Canada in 1997 ;
- organised ten training seminars in favour of 146 members from its six regional branches in 1998 ;
- organised a national workshop on self employment for six weeks in March-April 2000 ;
- established a revolving fund to support the projects of young graduates of home economics in 1999 ;
- capitalised on the experiencies aquired from a pedagogic guide produced in 2002 and made accessible to her professsionnal training partners.

Vulgarisation of improved breakfast for school children This project carried out in partnership with Nestlé-Cameroon is geared at contributing to the reduction of malnutrition rate among its beneficiaries. A guide presenting 14 types of breakfast menus made from local products is presently being made accessible in primary schools and families.

Holiday Relaxation Leisure (HRL)
The project has two objectives :
- to take care of children between eight and sixteen years of age during the long vacations, by organising educative and recreational activities ;
- to make children discover and develop their hidden talents and potentials through artistic a

nd craft activities.
The first two sessions of HRL proj

ect took place in July 2002 and 2003 at the Christ Roi parish at Tsinga.
